Rotation
You can rotate the star and it will turn around.
It will be the same shape but it
Just turned a little.

Communicate and interpret locations and directions, using compass directions, distances, and grid references.

Communicate and interpret locations and directions, using compass directions, distances, and grid references.

Intro:
what is a coordinate system:
coordinate plane is an important tool for working with these equations. It is formed by a horizontal number line, called the x-axis, and a vertical number line, called the y-axis. The two axes intersect at a point called the origin.

dlo:In geometry, a coordinate system is a system which uses one or more numbers, or coordinates. To uniquely determine the position of the points or other geometric elements on a manifold such as Euclidean space.

To locate (2,5), move 2 units to the right on the x-axis and 5 units up on the y-axis. The order in which you write x- and y-coordinates in an ordered pair which is very important. The x-coordinate always comes first, followed by the y-coordinate.

There are two main types of grid reference: four-figure grid reference, such as '19 45', indicates a 1 km by 1 km square on themap; and. six-figure grid reference, such as '192 454', indicates a 100 m by 100 m square on the map.

An easy way to remember this is that to get the first number, you go along the corridor (horizontal, x axis, east) and then up the stairs (vertical, y axis). For example, the number 2 in the diagram below is square 19 across and square 45 up and therefore, the four-figure grid reference is '1945'.

Four-figure grid references can be used to pinpoint a location to within a square measuring 1 sq km. To find the number of the square: Start at the left-hand side of the map and go east until you get to the east crossing through the bottom-left-hand corner of the square you want. Write this number down.

a column separator or row separator, Grid lines are the light grey lines that divide each of the cells, rows, and columns in a spreadsheet.

4 Figure Grid References. A four figure grid reference points you towards a particular square on a map. On all OS maps these squares represent one square kilometre. A four figure grid reference will point you to the bottom left hand corner of that particular grid square.

intro:
There are two main types of maps - political maps and physical maps. Physical maps show the shape of the land - hills, lakes, forests, the coast and so on. Political maps show how the land is used by people - counties, provinces, countries, town boundaries, etc.

map is a symbolic representation of selected characteristics of a place, usually drawn on a flat surface. they can be picture meaning what a specific things.

Maps present information about the world in a simple, visual way. They teach about the world by showing sizes and shapes of countries, locations of features, and distances between places.

Numbered below are descriptions of cartographic elements that are commonly found on a map.
  • Data Frame. The data frame is the portion of the map that displays the data layers.
  • Legend. The legend serves as the decoder for the symbol in the data frame.
  • Title.
  • North Arrow.
  • Scale.
  • Citation.

the purpose of a map is to show territorial borders; the purpose of the physical is to show features of geography such as mountains, soil type or land use including infrastructure such as roads, railroads and buildings.

If I was to do this again I would work with a buddy to see if work is good enough and to add more pictures.

From the clues provided in Rose’s story, why do you believe her brothers and sisters were removed?
Because they were aboriginal/black.

Why do you think she may have been left behind?
She old enough to be married and work.

Which people were directly or indirectly affected in a negative way by the welfare workers’ decision to remove Rose’s brothers and sisters from the family?’
rose, the parents the siblings the whole family.

Think about all the stories you have just heard and read, what are your thoughts about the impacts these events have had on their lives
I think its really sad how the white people made the aborigines be white.
its also sad that the were forced away from their homes and made slaves workers and sold off as slaves and forced to be married at a young age.

represent shapes with models and drawings

Represent shapes with models and drawings.

Introduction: shapes are things that contours or outlines something or someone.
shapes can be called many different names such as:2D
circle
square
triangle
rectangle

dlo:
3D:
pyrimad
cube
tetrahedron
cylinder
cuboid
cone
hexagonal prism

Any shape that can be laid flat on a piece of paper or any mathematical plane is a 2D shape. As a child, your first drawings probably used basic shapes, such as squares, triangles, and circles.

Look around - whatever you can touch is a 3D shape.3D shapes take up space. Only the 3D shape or object itself can take up its own space. In mathematics, there are standard 3D shapes, such as spheres, cubes, prisms, cones, and pyramids.

An object with three dimensions (such as height, width and depth) like any object in the real world. Example: your body is three-dimensional. Also known as "3D". See: Two-Dimensional. Solid Geometry.

Properties of 2D Shapes

  • Square. • 4 equal sides • 4 equal angles (90°) • 4 axes of symmetry
  • Rectangle. • 2 sets of 2 equal sides • 4 equal angles (90°) • 2 axes of symmetry
  • Triangle. • Can have no, 2 or 3 equal sides • Can have no, 2 or 4 equal angles • Can have up to 2 axes of symmetry
  • Circle
  • Pentagon
  • Hexagon
  • Octagon
  • Parallelogram

these are some drawings and photos showing what they look like.

review: If i was to do this again I would try and find more websites and most likely work with a pair to get more research.
